Abstract:
The volatile constituents of 6 kinds of electronic cigarette liquid with mint flavor marketed were extracted by dichloromethane,53 compounds were identified by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS).Results indicated that there were 7 common compounds including propylene glycol, glycerin, menthol, pulegone,
D-carvone,menthyl acetate and octadecanoic acid which found in six samples and accounted for 42.19%,67.57%,91.53%,95.69%,80.67% and 75.79% of the total peak area in sample-1,sample -2,sample -3,sample-4,sample -5 and sample -6 respectively.Other volatile compounds content were lower. The relative content of nicotine in sample-2 and sample-6 which reached 28.90% and 20.40% was about 2 times as much as that of sample-5 and sample-1,respectively.Sample-3 and sample-4 were electronic cigarette liquid without nicotine. The sensory evaluation showed sample-3 had a significant advantage of sensory quality over the other five kinds of samples.
