Abstract: The flavor composition in flue-cured tobacco leaves,oriental tobacco leaves and burley tobacco leaves of Yunnan were identified and analysed by using simultaneous distillation and extraction equipment and GC/MS.The results showed that there are significant differences in flavor composition and contents of three different type tobacco leaves.In the 75 species aroma components,there 40 species are same in three different type tobacco leaves.Flue-cured tobacco has 2 species special aroma components,oriental tobacco has 10 species special aroma components,burley tobacco has 14 species special aroma components.The total contents of aroma components are burley tobacco higher than flue-cured tobacco,and higher than oriental tobacco.The percent of neophytadiene in total contents of aroma components is flue-cured tobacco higher than burley tobacco,and higher than oriental tobacco.
