Abstract:
For the aim of reveal the bioactivities and corresponding chemical constituents of
Gentiana delavayi Franch, eight flavonoid glycosides were isolated from the n-butanol fraction of
G. delavayi by various column chromatography involving silica gel, ODS, MCI and Sephadex LH−20. Their structures were identified based on NMR spectroscopic data analysis, together with comparison with previous data, to be luteolin−6−O−
β−
D-glucoside (
1 ), vitexin (
2 ), apigenin−7−O−
β−
D−glucopyranoside (
3 ), isovitexin (
4 ), puerarin (
5 ), hypolaetin−8−O−
β−
D−glucoside (
6 ), orientin (
7 ) and isoorientin (
8 ). Compounds
1 and
6 were isolated from this genus for the first time. In addition, antioxidant activity of the extracts from the plant, and compounds
1~8 were also tested. Compounds
6 and
7 showed strong DPPH free radical scavenging capacity, and compound
7 (9.74 ± 0.05 μg/mL) was the strongest one.
