Abstract:
Taking 3A-grade tourist attractions in Guilin City as the research object, comprehensively applying the methods of geographic concentration index, nearest-neighbour index, kernel density, accessibility analysis, correlation analysis and buffer analysis, this study explored spatial distribution characteristics of 3A-grade tourist attractions in Guilin City and their evolution characteristics, and judged the influence factors of spatial distribution. The results showed that: ①The number of 3A-grade tourist attractions in Guilin City showed an upward trend from 2008 to 2023, and gradually expanded from clustered distribution to uniform distribution; ②Over time, high-density core areas of 3A-grade tourist attractions were distributed in Qixing District, Xiufeng District, and Yanshan District, forming a distribution characteristic of "single core, secondary core dispersed". ③The average accessibility time for 3A-grade tourist attractions in Guilin was about 30 minutes, in particular, the accessibility of Guilin's main urban area was better, generally within 15min. ④The factors affected the spatial distribution of tourist attractions above grade 3A in Guilin were: elevation>GDP>Road network core density>water system. The research results are conducive to comprehensively grasping characteristics of scenic area spatial patterns in Guilin, providing theoretical basis for subsequent scenic area product optimisation, and thus enhancing high-quality development of tourism in Guilin.
