Abstract
Sexithiophene based bolaamphiphile I with four lateral alkyl chains was synthesized by transition-metal catalysized Kumada and Suzuki coupling reactions as key steps.The structure of compound I was identified with 1H NMR,13C NMR and elemental analysis.The properties of the compound I were investigated with POM,DSC,TEM,UV-Vis,PL and CV.The results showed that compound I could self assemble into a monotropic columnar phase in its pure state and gels with three-dimensional network structure in the solution.PL measurement showed that I had a large Stokes shift,indicating that I was a potential candidate as fluorescent label materials and semiconductor materials.
