Secondary metabolites from cultures of halotolerant fungal from Kunming Salt Mine

  • The chemical constituents from the liquid fermentation of halotolerant fungal 4-92 from Kunming Salt Mine were studied.Fifteen compounds were isolated,and their structures were determined by spectral analysis as five phenolic compounds:5-methyl-benzene-1,3-diol(1),methyl 2,5-dihydroxybenzoate(2),4-hydroxybenzoic acid(3),3,3'-oxybis(5-methylphenol) (4),2-(hydroxymethyl)benzene-1,4-diol(5);three sterol compounds (22E,24R)-5,6-epoxy-24-methylcholesta-8(14),22-diene-3,7-diol(6),3-hyd-roxy-(22E,24R)-ergosta-5,8,22-trien-7-one(7),(22E,24R)-24-methylcholesta-7,22-diene-3,5,6-tiol(8); three nucleoside compounds thymine(9),uracil(10),cytosine(11);two xanthone compounds sterigmatocystin(12),oxisterigmatocystin C(13);an anthraquinone compound:emodin(14)and an alkaloid compound:Pseurotin A(15).
