Study on antitumor and immunomodulatory activity of San Yang Xue Dai(SYKT)

  • MTT method was used to determine the inhibitory effect of San Yang Xue Dai(SYKT) and eight kinds of Traditional Chinese medicine on human tumor cells and normal cells,respectively.Effects of SYKT on immune system in mice were investigated by testing the immune organ index and phagocytic index of peritoneal macrophages.The results showed that the extracts of Draconis resina and Panax notoginseng had inhibitory effect on tumor cells;SYK) could significantly prevent the decrease of the spleen index and thymus index of immunosuppressive mice.The inhibition effect of SYKT on tumor cells was not significant, but it had a significant effect on immune function in immunosuppressive mice.
