Synthesis of β-diketone from D-(+)-camphor

Abstract

Abstract

A chiral β-diketone compound was synthesized from D-(+)camphor through Aldol reaction followed by Swern oxidation.The target compound was obtained in good yield and was characterized by IR, 1HNMR,13CNMR and MS.
