The 16S rRNA of Thermus thermophiles from two high temperature hot springs of West Yunnan

    Abstract
  • Based on culture dependent method and culture independent method,several Thermus 16S rDNA sequences were amplified.The results of 16S rDNA phylogenetic analysis and 16S rRNA secondary stucture comparison showed that there are at least two novel Thermus species in the two hot springs and they constituted an independent cluster on the phylogenetic tree.The secondary structure of 16S rRNA helix 10 with novel evolution characters also showed differences with other Thermus species.
