Studies on chemical constituents and photosensitivity of fungus producing perylenequinones

The chemical constituents from the mycelium of Ascomycetes Hypocreaceae Hypomyces (Fr.) Tul.sp.were studied.The mycelium were extracted with acetone.The extract was seperated on column chromatography over silic H gel eluting with dicholomethane and methanol.Four compounds including manniol(I),elsinochrome A(II),hypocrellin A(III) and hypocrellinB(IV) were isolated.Their structures were elucidated by means of spectral and chemical methods.The photosensitivity of compounds (II,III,IV) was tested by microbial paper disk method.
