Study on the animal foods of wintering Black-necked Cranes (Grus nigricollis)at Dashanbao reserve,Zhaotong,Yunnan

The animal foods of wintering Black-necked Cranes(Grus nigricollis)are the larvae of three insect species at Dasanbao reserve.There is a large quantity of these insect larvae in the wetlands at Dasangbao reserve.So the wetlands are the important source of the Cranes’animal foods,and the wetlands conservation is essential to preserving not only the habitat,but also the food source of this bird.
