The differences temporal and spatial distribution characteristics of automatic and manual observation in Yunnan province

  • A comparison was made using automatic and manual observation in 125 stations from June 2006 to December 2011 about Yunnan province,the differences of temperature,pressure,relative humidity were calculated and the time and space characteristic differences between automatic and manual observation were analyzed.Results shows that the differences have significantly temporal and spatial distribution characteristics.Every element has a bigger difference in 2006,2007 and 2010 from temporal variation because at the first year of automatic station construction,the differences are relatively large;automatic observation is more than manual observation at elements increasing remarkably and automatic observation is less than manual observation at elements decreasing remarkably because of the difference sensitivity of measuring equipment about the variation of the elements;the spatial distribution of differences are relative large at central Yunnan whose automatic stations were constructed at 2010,east Lincan and east Zhaotong as well.
