Studies on antioxidation activity of three plants of Desmodium

The antioxidation activity of Desmodium styracifolium,Desmodium triflorum and Desmodium gangeticum were studied by photometric method and ESR method.The scavenging percentage of the three plants to hydroxyl radical are 60.7%,67.5% and 78.4%,to superoxide radical are 87.5%,80.6% and 74.2%,to free radical of cigarette smoke are 21.1%,31.6% and 17.0%,inhibitory effect on lipid peroxidantion are 79.4%,85.7% and 71.6% respectively.
