Preparation of SiC/Al2O3-PCS FGM ceramic composites by pyrolysis inpreganation preceramics(PIP) method

SiC/Al2O3 ceramic FGM has been prepared by PIP technique,which Polycarbosilane(PCS) was used as preceramics.DTA-TG tests showed that the antioxidiation of the transformation ceramic surface is better than that of PCS surface.The microscope IR on the transformation ceramic surface showed that polycarbosilane preceramics was pyrolyzed into SiC ceramic completely.The IR absorption of Si—H increased gradually from the ceramic surface to the PCS surface.SEM result showed that the pyrolysis layer was fine and close.
