基于跨层协同的MANET网络拥塞控制算法仿真研究

Simulation study of network congestion control algorithm for mobileAd Hoc Networks based cross-layer coordination

  • 摘要: 移动自组织网络MANET因大量数据包发送、节点信道同步适应和动态无线拓扑变化等原因,易发生传输拥塞.传统拥塞控制的主动式队列管理算法,如拥塞随机早期检测算法( Random Early Detection,RED),根据缓存占用情况监测和判断拥塞,无法适应MANET网络MAC层信道监控发送的特点.针对这一问题,基于链路层MAC802.11的RTS/CTS重传机制,结合网络层缓存占用情况检测网络拥塞,提出IRED(Improved RED)算法,该算法通过跨层协同的机制实现拥塞控制.最后,通过NS2网络仿真工具验证IRED算法的性能.实验结果表明,IRED较传统算法在吞吐率、延时和传输抖动等性能上都有显著提高.

     

    Abstract: Mobile Ad Hoc Networks (MANET) are prone to network congestion because of the burst data traffic,node and channel synchronization difficulties and the dynamic channel of wireless topology.The buffer occupation rate is used in traditional active queue management algorithms such as Random Early Detection (RED) to predict network congestion,however,which is not adaptive to the characteristics of MAC layer channel in MANET.In this paper,we provide some alternative new designs based on cross-layer coordination,through the link layer mac802.11 RTS/CTS retransmission mechanism,with the network of integrated cache occupied judgment and detection network congestion,to realize network congestion control and adapt to network QoS needs in MANET.Finally,we use NS2 simulator to evaluate the performance of the proposed algorithm IRED(Improved RED)and the simulation results showed that the proposed algorithm in the throughput,delay and transmission jitter on the effect of significantly.
