A new UWB pulse design method and performance analysis

  • 摘要: 讨论了基于粒子群算法设计的超宽带脉冲,对设计脉冲的UWB系统性能进行了分析.依据FCC辐射掩蔽,对一组正弦高斯函数进行加权组合,通过粒子群优化算法选取组合系数得到新脉冲,对采用设计脉冲的系统性能分别从单链路误码率、多址性能、链路预算3个方面进行仿真比较.结果表明:与Schlotz脉冲、随机组合脉冲相比,基于粒子群算法设计的脉冲具有更好的误码性能和传输性能.

     

    Abstract: The pulse waveform design method for Ultra Wideband (UWB) communication based on particle swarm optimization (PSO) technique is discussed,and the performance of UWB system with designed pulse is analyzed.Aimed at the emission mask property of UWB system proposed by federal communications commission (FCC),the sinusoid Gaussian pulses are chosen as basis functions,the weighting coefficients based on PSO algorithm are made certain acted as linear combination coefficients of basis functions.The properties such as bit error rate (BER) performance in both single link and multi-user,link budget of the UWB system employing the designed pulse are simulated.Compared with Scholtz monocycle and random combination pulse,the results show that the pulse designed based on the PSO algorithm has better BER performance and communication performance.
