Soil respiration of tropical forests:overview and synthesis

  • 摘要: 研究通过收集和综合过去半个世纪热带森林土壤呼吸野外测定结果,结合研究人员长期在热带地区的研究实践,初步回答了:① 热带雨林土壤呼吸量级是多少;② 热带地区不同土地利用类型对土壤呼吸有什么影响;③ 温度和水分如何影响热带森林土壤呼吸.一般地,将热带原生林开发为牧草地和农用地会增加土壤呼吸排放,但种植人工林或形成次生林并不会增加土壤呼吸;因自然环境的差异,也有少量例外的情况.热带雨林土壤呼吸为(1368±323)g·m-2·a-1.热带雨林土壤呼吸年总量与年均温有显著的正相关关系,暗示温度每增加1℃,土壤呼吸增加5%.但是,土壤呼吸年总量与该地的年降雨量之间无相关关系.热带森林土壤呼吸研究中,大量使用人工箱法,掩盖了土壤呼吸和温度之间的相关关系,自动箱的使用将有利于这一关系的深入探索.热带森林土壤呼吸强度雨季高于旱季;但是降雨量颇高,且季节不明显时,可能表现相反的趋势.在土壤含水量较低的情况下,土壤呼吸随着含水量的上升而不断增强,直至到达阈值,其后呼吸强度和水分含量表现为负相关.通过人工控制实验探讨水分变化对土壤呼吸影响是一个理想的途径,但目前还处于开始阶段.

     

    Abstract: We attempted to address:①the mean soil respiration of tropical rainforest;② the effect of land-use change on soil respiration in trpical land;③ how temperature and water controls over soil respiration in tropical forests.Field studies in the past half century on soil respiration of tropical forests was compiled and synthesized.Soil respiration of tropical rainforest is (1368±323)g·m-2·a-1.There is a significant positive correlation between mean annual temperature and soil respiration which indicates the increase of temperature by 1℃ will enhance soil respiration by 5%.No statistic correlation was found between soil respiration and mean annual rainfall.Studies with introducing of automatic chambers will favor in deep plough the temperature-respiration relationship in tropical forests,since temperature range is very low there.Soil respiration is higher during the rainy season in most of the studies.Usually,soil respiration increased with soil water content and saturated at certain level.After that,the increase of soil water will exert negative effect of respiration.The ecosystem-level water manipulation experiment was suggested to be an ideal approach for the investigation water effect on soil respiration in tropical forests.Especially,it is nearly at its initial stage.
