Abstract:
Six diseased sugarcane (Saccharum sinensis) samples were collected in Kaiyuan City of Yunnan Province and the pathogen were isolated from roots of infected sugarcane plant. In order to clear the pathogen of the disease, and provide a theoretical basis for the prevention and control of the disease,we identified the pathogen of this disease.Based on the pathogenicity, analysis of the rDNA internal transcribed spacer region (ITSI-5.8S-ITS2) and morphology, the results showed that they were the pathogens of sugarcane (Saccharum.sinensis) of black rot disease caused by Ceratocystis adiposa. This was the first reported of Ceratocystis adiposa as the pathogen of black rot of sugarcane in China.
