Image-based modeling and real-time rendering for water animation

  • 摘要: 使用基于图像的建模和绘制(IBMR)技术对单幅输入图像进行交互式三维建模,运用海浪谱统计学模型的水波生成算法和FFT技术,实时生成水波运动的高度场.通过纹理重投影技术,将原图像中的纹理映射到计算生成的三维模型上,实现水波动画模拟的同时,还可以在生成的场景中实时漫游.实验表明,所提出的方法能实时绘制出与自然界中真实水波相似的漫游场景.

     

    Abstract: In this paper,image-based modeling and rendering technique are used to get the 3D model interactively.And a time-varying height field for the water is generated by using the statistical model of real ocean wave spectrum and FFT technology in the real-time.Then,the surface textures of objects are extracted from original image and mapped on the new model.The experiment shows that the method can render the touring scene with realistic animation of water in real-time.
