一种改进型圆盘法提取手形特征点的新方法

A new method for extracting hand feature points based on improved disk method

  • 摘要: 现有手形指根和指尖点提取方法对手形图像有较高的摆放要求.针对自然摆放的手形图像,提出一种改进的圆盘法算法提取手形特征点.首先,利用数码相机对手形图像进行采样并进行灰度化与二值化;然后,提取手形图像的单像素轮廓;最后,提出改进型的圆盘法提取手形图像的指尖点和谷点.通过对包含155人共310副手形图像的验证,实验结果表明,提出的算法与方法可有效提取单像素手形轮廓线,对手形图像的指尖点与谷点的正确提取率分别为95.6%和94.8%.提出的方法克服了传统圆盘法提取高分辨率手形图像特征点效率低的缺陷,避免手指张开程度对算法可靠性的影响,体现了方法的优越性.

     

    Abstract: Current methods for finger tip and valley points extraction require the hand is strictly placed.In order to avoiding this drawback, an improved disk method is proposed to extract hand feature points under natural placement.The hand image is captured by a digital camera and is subsequently converted to gray image and binary image.Subseguently the single pixel contour of the hand image is extracted.Thereafter the finger tip and valley points are located by using the proposed disk method.The experiment results applied on 310 images belonging to 155 users show that the method can extract the single pixel contour of the hand image and the correct extraction ration of finger tip and valley points are 95.6% and 94.8% respectively.The method avoids the low efficiency of traditional disk method applied on high resolution hand image and the reliability of the method is not impacted by fingers' opening degree, proving its advantage.
