Abstract:
Based on the ozone and geopotential height data during 1979—2013 from ECMWF,by using three diagnostic analysis methods, the paper has analyzed the relationship between the ozone change and the winter monsoon in East Asia. The results show that firstly, there is a positive correlation between Iwin and the ozone amount on different isobaric surface over East Asian, especially on 50 and 100hPa;Secondly,overall,the ozone amount on 50 and 100hPa is more consistent with the change of geopotential height field over East Asia, namely, when the ozone increases on mid-latitude,geopotential height decreases, meanwhile East Asian trough deepens and the winter monsoon becomes stronger, and vice versa; Finally, synthetic analysis shows that when EAWM becomes stronger, there is a moving trend from north to south in positive difference center from 30hPa to 100hPa.
