Abstract:
In order to reveal the rice yield and quality characteristics of 76 hybrid rice cultivars from upper Yangtze River, 15 yield-related traits, 3 physical/chemical quality indices and 6 RVA profiles were measured. The results showed that there were significant correlations between the yield per plant and others 10 yield-related traits. Four principal components were extracted by principal components analysis (PCA), including factors of yield, grain shape, seed setting rate and combinational factor of grain shape and seed setting rate. The parents of hybrid rice with good yield characters were selected. There were significant correlations among the eigenvalue of RVA profiles, and they were significantly correlated with amylose content (AC). Therefore, this test can provide a reference for the application studies of hybrid rice parents in the upper Yangtze River.
