Abstract:
Weixi County is located in the North-west Hengduan Mountain, where there are complex geological tectonics structures and vulnerable geological environment. With abundance of heavy rainstorms and humans engineering project effect, those regions belong to the high hazard prone zone. Through statistics, the geological hazards show that with uneven temporal and spatial distribution, each village in this area has whole disaster tapes which outburst concentrated mainly from May to September; the disaster affected areas are focused on the high population regions as Lancang River, Yongchun River and Lapu River. According to meshing and fixed hazard factors to special value, we can divide the Weixi County as low, medium and high hazard prone area on condition of the value 0.0—7.5, 7.5—15.0, 15.0—25.0. Among it, the high hazard prone area is mainly distributed along the Lancang River and Yongchun River, which account for 40.43 percent per whole county, the medium hazard prone area is sited in the Lapu River watershed, which account forf 6.99 percent, while the low hazard prone area is distributed in the West and East part of the Lancang River, which account for 52.58 percent per Weixi Land.
