Abstract:
The Cu
2+ doped TiO
2 composite photocatalysts were synthesized by using the layered H
2TiO
3 as the processor and Cu(NO
3)
2 as the copper source after the colloidal solution was adjusted a desired pH value. The photocatalysts obtained were characterized by XRD and SEM. And a methylene blue (MB) was used to study the photocatalytic activities of Cu
2+ doped TiO
2 composite photocatalysts under UV light irradiation. The results show that the layered H
2TiO
3 is completely transformed into Cu
2+ doped rutile/anatase TiO
2 composites at pH 0.5~1.5. And the Cu
2+ doped TiO
2 composite obtained at pH 0.5 exhibits the higher photocatalytic activity.
