Abstract:
In mountainous areas where land resources are scarce, debris flow fans as a valuable land resource, are the main places for people’s production and life. However, debris flow fans are unstable, which leads to high risks of making use of the debris flow fan land. Therefore, it is necessary to analyze the land use model of debris flow fans. With the continuous development of remote sensing technology and the continuous improvement of China’s high-resolution earth observation system, it is possible to use high-resolution remote sensing images for small-scale study of land use patterns in specific areas. In this paper, the land use patterns, elevation correlation characteristics and percentage slope correlation characteristics of 196 debris flow fans in Xiaojiang River Basin were comprehensively analyzed by using GF2 remote sensing images, digital elevation models, GIS technology and field investigations. In addition, by using the stratified mode of debris flow fan land use, it is found out that the main land use mode of debris flow fans in Xiaojiang River Basin is a primary development mode at little risk.
