Abstract:
The comprehensive evaluation of tomato hybrid combinations is the basis of tomato breeding. In order to improve the utilization rate of tomato hybrid combinations and the level of breeding selection, a scientific and reasonable evaluation method is urgently needed. Based on 30 phenotypic traits, descriptive statistical analysis, principal component analysis and comprehensive evaluation of 529 large-fruit tomato hybrid combinations in the previous matching group were conducted. The results showed that the variation coefficients of 9 botanical traits ranged from 6.11% to 41.90%, which indicated that the largest was ripeness varied the most while the leaf vein color varied the lest; the variation coefficients of 21 fruit traits ranged from 6.51% to 41.22%, and the largest was fruit top shape, the smallest was the longitudinal diameter of the fruit; the cumulative contribution rate of the eight principal components extracted was 63.07%, which contained most of the genetic information of the combined phenotypic traits. On the basis of abundant material variation, the method of combining principal component analysis and fuzzy membership function was used to comprehensively evaluate the tomato hybrid combinations, and the top 10 hybrid combinations with the best comprehensive performance and at the same time better than the control varieties were ranked in order: ZJ093, ZJ075, ZJ492, ZJ118, ZJ487, ZJ094, ZJ494, ZJ355, ZJ496, ZJ414, which provided theoretical basis and technical support for the selection and breeding of Ningxia large fruit tomato hybrid combinations in future.
