Abstract:
One nocardioform rare actinomycete strain YIM31530T,which had strong activity for inhibiting botrytis sp.,Rhizoctonia solani,Pyricularia oryzae, was isolated from a soil sample collected from Yulong Mountain in Lijiang,Yunnan Province.Based on our polyphasic studies, including its morphology, physiological and biochemical characteristics, chemotaxonomy and 16S rDNA sequence analysis,it was proposed it as a new species of genus Kribbella and named it as Kribbella antibiotica sp.nov..Strain YIM31530T grew well on most test media.Aerial mycelium were yellow white and substrate mycelium were pale yellow to yellow white.Aerial mycelium and substrate mycelium were extensively branched and they often fragment into rod-shaped elements. They are non-motile.
