Eartqhauek activity and the regional digital telemetric seismic network in Yunnan

  • 摘要: 简明扼要地分析了20世纪以来云南地震活动性在时间和空间分布上所表现出的基本特征,这些特点对分析研究云南地震活动以及强震危险性具有重要参考价值.地震学研究要想取得突破性的科学进展,离不开地震监测技术的创新,特别是现代数字地震观测技术的应用.也简要地介绍了全球宽频带数字地震台网和云南区域数字地震台网的发展过程.近年来全球及区域数字地震台网的运行,记录了许多重要的地震事件,为现代地震学领域的理论创新和技术应用研究提供了广阔的空间.长期以来积累了如此大量的数字地震高质量的观测资料是地球科学界的重要财富,也是地震学家和相关领域的地球科学家深入开展地震物理过程和地球内部结构研究的重要基础资料.

     

    Abstract: The main features of the temperal-spatial distribution of the earthquake activities in Yunnan area since the 20th century are briefly analyzed.These features can serve as references for the seismologists to study the seismicity and the strong earthquake risk in Yunnan.Any breakthrough in the seismological field relies on the innovation of the earthquake-monitoring techniques,especially the application of the techniques of digital seismic observation.Further,the development of the broadband digital seismograph networks abroad and the regional digital telemetric seismic network in Yunnan,China is sketched.So far,the seismic networks at home and abroad have recorded a great number of significant earthquake events.The seismic data,accumulated for quite a long period,have greatly expanded the field for the theoretical innovation and technological application of the seismology,so they are regarded as precious treasures for the earth science,as well as the corner stone for the earth scientists including seismologists to conduct an intensive study of the physical process of the earthquake and the inner structure of the Earth.
