Abstract:
Shear wave velocity is one of most important parameter in evalution of seismic safety for engineering sites.To cope with the problem that measuring shear wave velocity can not be achieved in some place,this paper used ①the linear fitting Y=aX+b,②polynomial fitting Y=aX3+bX2+cX+d,③exponential fitting Y=aXb to analyzed statistically between shear wave velocity and depth of soil in Kunming Basin.From the results we found that ,using exponential fitting method to fit the relationship between depth and the shear wave velocity of clay,silty clay and peat soil is better than the other two methods;for silts and fine sand,polynomial fitting method is most.In other words,we can use exponential fitting method to estimate the shear wave velocity of cohesive soil,and use polynomial fitting method to estimate the shear wave velocity of cohesionless soil in Kunming Basin.
