Abstract:
The Fe2O3-doped TiO2 catalysts were prepared by sol-gel method, and characterized by XRD and IR techniques. The photocatalytic activity of the doped TiO2 catalysts for degradation of phenol in aqueous solution was measured under UV light. It was found that the Fe content and calcined temperature had effect on phenol conversion. The results of XRD and IR showed the anatase phase for Fe/TiO2 sample calcined temperature lower than 500℃,and anatase and rutile coexist at 600℃.The photocatalytic activity of 3%Fe/TiO2 calcined at 300℃ for phenol degradation shows the best activity,by which 86% of phenol degraded after 150 minutes.
