Abstract: A sample of 472 cases in Huazhou of Han Nationality in Guangdon Province was investigated on rolling,folding,twisting,pointed and clover-leaf tongues.The results showed that the frequencies of 5 tongue moving types in above-mentioned were 52.54%,4.24%,18.86%,69.49%,and 6.36% respectively,lower than the most of other groups and near by the southern groups in China.No significant sexual difference was found in the frequencies of tongue moving types except pointed tongues.There are no correlation between every pair of 5 tongue moving types,except rolling and twisting and clover-leaf tongues.Totally,compared with the other groups in China,the Han in Guangdong has a lower frequency of tongue moving types.
