An investigation of surface plasmon filter composed of rectangular cavities in the longitudinal direction

  • 摘要: 提出一种新型的纵向有多个矩形腔的表面等离子体滤波器,采用时域有限差分方法(FDTD)分别研究了单个腔、2个腔和3个腔的透射性质,发现单个腔中F-P共振导致了透射峰;在单个腔中间增加一层金属薄膜构成2个腔,原来单腔的透射峰出现劈裂或者消失,劈裂间距受结构参数变化影响;结合近场分布和理论分析,认为长短表面等离子体共振导致了劈裂.

     

    Abstract: A new type of surface plasma filter composed of some rectangular cavities in the longitudinal direction has been proposed.By applying the finite difference of time domain (FDTD) method,the characteristics of single-cavity and dual-cavity and three-cavity structure have been investigated.For the single-cavity filter,F-P resonance will induce transmission peaks.When a metal film is added into the single-cavity,the original transmission peaks of the single cavity will split or disappear. According to the near-field distribution and theoretical analysis,it has been found the long surface plasma resonance and the short surface plasma resonance lead to the splitting.
