基于遗传数据重建外来种入侵路线的研究进展

  • 摘要: 入侵路线(invasion routes)是指外来物种的繁殖体从原产地传播到入侵地所经历的地理路线.外来种的入侵路线包含了有关入侵历史 、入侵种群的地理来源等信息,对解决入侵生物学的基本理论问题(例如快速进化)和管理问题(例如寻找专一性天敌)都具有重要意义.重建入侵路线的常用方法包括两类:①基于当前和历史观察数据(例如标本和文献)的直接方法;②基于分子遗传数据的间接方法.在大多数入侵物种中,历史记录数据常常残缺不全,重建入侵路线的工作越来越多地依赖间接方法,而分子遗传数据被证明能够较好地揭示入侵种群的进化历史.由于入侵过程的复杂性,传统分析方法推断复杂路线时面临着巨大挑战.近年来,一种基于模型拟合的近似贝叶斯计算方法(approximate Bayesian computation,ABC)被用于入侵路线重建,使复杂入侵场景(scenario)的推断成为可能.作者首先论述入侵路线重建对解决入侵生物学理论和实践问题的重要性,接下来介绍了重建入侵路线的各种方法,重点对ABC方法的统计学原理、主要步骤、特征和优点等做了详细介绍,最后强调了入侵路线重建时特别需要注意的取样问题. 

     

    Abstract: Invasion routes means the geographical pathways followed by propagules from their source to the invading populations,which provides information about the history of the invasion process and the origin and genetic composition of the invading populations.The reconstruction of invasion routes is a useful approach for addressing questions about basic theory of invasion and questions about management of invasion species.Two types of methods have traditionally been used to make inferences concerning routes of introduction:① direct methods based on current and historical observations of invasive species and ② indirect methods based on patterns in population genetics data.For most species,their historical records are often incomplete or missing,and the information about their invasion routes depend a great deal on indirect methods.Here,molecular genetic data has been proved to be useful to reveal the evolution history of invasive populations.However,complex routes of invasion is still a great challenge for traditional indirect methods because of the complexity of invasion.In this context,An indirect model-based method based on approximate Bayesian computation was presented,which made it possible to distinguish complex competing scenarios.In this review,we first explained why the reconstruction of these routes was useful for addressing both practical and theoretical questions in biology.Then we introduced the various reconstruction methods available.We also introduced the statistical principal,key steps,characteristic and advantages of ABC in detail.Finally,we emphasized the sampling strategy that might need particular attention in the process of invasion routs research.
