Abstract: The contents of three kind of alkaloids (berberine,jateorhizine,palmatine) in various organs of Coptis teeta Wall grown in different areas were investigated to screen the best production areas and to make use of three kind of alkaloids containing in non-officinal organ of Coptis teeta Wall.Method:Comparison and analysis of the biomass (rhizome,fibrous root,leaf) and the three kind of alkaloids contents from 10 different production areas were performed.Result:The differences of three kind of alkaloids among different organs and different production areas were significant,the order of the contents of the three kind of alkaloids was:rhizome > leaf>fibrous root.The quality of Coptis teeta Wall grown in Houshan of Gongshan County,Bingzhongluo village of Gongshan County and Puladi Village of Gongshan County was the best.Conclusion:The three production areas mentioned above were the best areas for growing Coptis teeta Wall.The 3 alkaloids in non-officinal organ of Coptis teeta Wall should be used.
