Abstract:
To develop new preservative,composite membrane has been prepared with chitosan,burdock extract,gelatin and glycerol.Mechanical properties,antibacterial properties,oxidation resistance of the composite membrane have been tested.The composite membrane has been used in preservation of cherry tomato at the same time.The results show that the comprehensive properties of composite membrane is best with a (26.97±2.26)MPa tensile strength,(104.3±5.4)% elongation at break,(94.67±4.3)% maximum scavenging rate of hydroxyl radical,(99.32±3.28)% inhibitory rate when the concentration of chitosan in mixed liquid is 0.02 g/mL; the concentration of burdock extract is 0.1 g/mL;the mass concentration of gelatin is 0.03 g/mL;the volume fraction of glycerol is 0.5 %.The surface and fracture surface is flat without phase separation.The hardness,soluble solids mass fraction,VC mass fraction,malondialdehyde molalities of cherry tomato which have been processed by composite membrane will be better than these of untreated and processed by chitosan monofilm and the difference is significant(P<0.05).
