Abstract: Tree shrew is a newly experimental animal which is a close relative to human beings.Researchers have established various human diseases models with tree shrew and carried out extensive and in-depth study because it is similar to human in morphology,physiology and biochemical metabolism.This paper aims to review the recent progress of tree shrew as animal model in biomedical research.
