Abstract:
Tiber, Sorbonne and Siberia are the three main cultivars of oriental lily flowers in Yunnan. The differences responses of morphophysiology and flowering of the three cultivars which were applied to 0.05%, 0.10%, 0.15% and 0.20% NaCl concentrations treatments were compared to determine the resistance to salt stress. The results showed that none of the three varieties survived at 0.20% NaCl treatment. When the three cultivars of oriental lily were applied to 0.05%, 0.10% and 0.15% NaCl treatment, the base diameter, plant height, leaf area, stem dry weight, leaf dry weight, flowering number, flower base diameter, flower length, and chlorophyll content were decreased with the NaCl concentration increased. The content of carotenoid, malondialdehyde and proline were increased. The 0.15% NaCl concentration was the maximum salt tolerance concentration in this study. The reduced amount of the height, leaf area, stem dry weight, leaf dry weight, chlorophyll a and flowering number of Tiber was the less than the other cultivars at 0.15% NaCl treatment. And the content of malondialdehyde of Tiber was increased less than Sorbonne and Siberia, the content of carotenoid and free proline increased more than the other cultivars. The values of subordinate function were used to evaluate the salt tolerance among different lily cultivars. The salinity tolerance for those cultivars was Tiber> Sorbonne> Siberia.
