Abstract:
The stoichiometric characteristics of C, N and P in leaves of different plants in Yuanjiang dry-hot valley were studied, which could provide a theoretical reference for the establishment of vegetation restoration of this area. Carbon, nitrogen, phosphorus and stoichiometric characteristics of leaves from 30 typical plants in Yuanjiang valley were analyzed and studied. The contents of C, N and P of the leaves were 408.54±28.15, 16.64±5.12 and 2.39±0.58 mg·g
−1, the coefficients of variation were 0.069, 0.307 and 0.242, respectively. N and P were significantly positively correlated (
P<0.01). C/N, C/P and N/P were 26.44, 178.91 and 6.99, respectively. It was found that N and N/P were significantly positive correlated (
P<0.01). Compared with other studies, the content of C and N elements in the leaves of plants in the dry-hot valley of the Yuanjiang is relatively low, while the content of P elements is relatively high, N/P is less than 14, indicating that all 30 plants are N-restricted. The result showed that the 30 plants were grouped into 5 groups, the utilization efficiency of nitrogen and phosphorus and the degree of lignification were analyzed based on the cluster results, the plants of group I may have higher potential to adapt to the dry and hot environment of Yuanjiang.
