Abstract:
A comprehensive application of macroporous resin column chromatography, positive phase silica gel column chromatography, Sephadex LH-20 column chromatography, HPLC, and other separation methods led to 15 compounds be seperated from the petroleum ether fraction of
Hypericum wilsonii N. Robson (HW-PE). By using modern spectroscopy techniques, these 15 compounds were identified as folecitin(
1 ),epicatechin(
2 ),
β-sitosterol(
3 ),
β-carotene(
4 ), betulinicaicd(
5 ), glycerol monopalmitate(
6 ), 1,7-dimethoxy-3,6-dihydroxyxanthone(
7 ), 3,4-dihydroxy-2-methoxyxanthone(
8 ), 27-epifurohyperforin isomer 1(
9 ), uralione H(
10 ), attenuatumione E(
11 ), sampsonione K(
12 ), attenuatumione C(
13 ), hypersampsonone C(
14 ) and otogirinin B(
15 ). This is the first report on the chemical constituents from
Hypericum wilsonii N.Robson.
