Abstract:
The chloroform portion of 85% ethanol extract from root bark of
Celastrus stylosus Wall was isolated and purified by silica gel column chromatography, Sephedex LH-20 column chromatography, medium pressure preparative chromatography and recrystallization. The structures of the obtained compounds were identified by physicochemical properties and spectral data. Fifteen compounds were isolated from chloroform extraction from root bark of
Celastrus stylosus Wall and identified as palmitic acid
