Abstract:
The axial chiral framework of binaphthalene derivatives is the dominant framework for the development of chiral catalysts and ligands. It has the advantages of good catalytic activity, excellent enantioselectivity, mild reaction conditions and good functional group compatibility, and has been widely used in the catalysis of various organic reactions. Dinaphthalene derivative catalysts have strong nucleophilic properties and can form hydrogen bonds or other interactions with substrates, thus regulating catalytic performance and selectivity of catalysts. Based on its good enantioselectivity, it can be prepared into chiral stationary phase for chiral resolution. In this review, the research progress of binaphthalene derivatives in asymmetric catalysis and chiral resolution were summarized, and the future development direction of binaphthalene derivatives was prospected.
