Abstract: The present study dealt with attractants of the different developmental stage mangos and the three host fruits to the oriental fruit fly (Bactrocera dorsalis Hendel) sampled respectively from Xishuangbanna,Simao and Hekou in Yunnan.The results demonstrated that,the female was much more attracted than the male by fully ripe and soft or high amount of volatile odors.Based on the statistics analysis,attractants of the soft and mature mangos to the females were tremendous.In the tests of the attractants with 3 host fruits,both females and males preferred mango to apple and pear.With the 4 treatments on the 3 host fruits,ripe and soft mangos showed high attractants to females in all the treatments,and mango puree was the best one in attractant effects.Regarding of the various locations,the attractants of the females collected from Hekou were higher than from others.
