Abstract: Cauchy problem for isentropic magnetogasdynamics is studied.Under hypotheses of continuous and piecewise smooth initial data,when there is no vacuum at the initial time,it is firstly proven that the vacuum never appears in solutions.Second,it is proven that the Cauchy problem admits a unique global continuous and piecewise smooth solution.
