Abstract:
An improved flexural vibration rectangular plate is proposed on the base of vibrational characteristics of rectangular plate.There is no analytical solution for rectangular plate with free boundary conditions.Finite element method is utilized to perform a discrete solution,to extract modal data and to deal with it for the radiating surface of rectangular plate.The radiated sound pressure and the directivity pattern of rectangular thin plate with stripe vibration are obtained by Rayleigh integration,which is compared with the directivity pattern of unimproved rectangular thin plate before.Some results can be got that improved flexural vibrating plates directivity pattern is sharper than the unimproved in the axis.This work provides the theoretical foundation for application of this kind of flexural vibrator.
