应用信息论方法优化判定无线传感网络中最小传感器数目的研究

An study to optimize the determination of the minimum number of  sensors by applying the information theoretic approach in WSN

  • 摘要: 针对无线传感器网络中使用最小数量传感器对目标区域完全覆盖的问题,提出了应用信息论解决此问题的新方法.在利用传感器测量值对既定环境做出精确估计的前提下,采用信息论中信源编码定理确定一个传感器最小数目的下界值,从而判定网络中传感器数目的最小值.仿真分析表明,与信息覆盖法相比,信息论方法在相同覆盖范围内使用传感器数更少,在相同传感器数下覆盖更合理高效,在事件估计正确率方面有较好的优化改进,在传感器分布设计上有较好借鉴价值和应用前景.

     

    Abstract: In this paper,a new method of the information theoretic approach is applied to optimize the solution on the problem of completing the coverage of target area with the minimum number of sensors.Source coding theorems from information theory is utilized to calculate a lower bound and then determine the minimum number of sensors under the condition that WSN must accurately estimates the features of some phenomenon by utilizing the measurements of sensors. Simulation results show that information theoretic approach outperforms information coverage with less sensor quatity and more coverage rationality,especially under the condition of correct probability of event estimation and the design of sensor distribution,there is a efficient optimization and reference value.
