向列相液晶薄膜会聚偏振图像模拟研究

Simulation of convergent polarized imaging of nematic liquid crystal film

  • 摘要: 针对向列相液晶薄膜对会聚偏振光的干涉现象,利用坐标矢量分解和折射率椭球方程计算出寻常光与非寻常光的相位分布,再利用扩展Jones矩阵分析出射光振幅分布,模拟分析了任意指向矢下液晶薄膜偏振干涉图像特征及其演化过程,为液晶相关实验测量提供了有效的辅助手段.

     

    Abstract: Aiming to study the interference patterns of convergent polarized light of the nematic liquid crystal cell in different directors,the phase distributions have been calculated by using the coordinate vector decomposition and the light refractive index ellipsoid equation.The light transmission has been also computed by the method of extended Jones matrix.Based on the Matlab procedure,weve simulated the interference patterns and its transformation varying with the nematic liquid molecule directors.The simulations have turned out to help liquid crystal experiment measurement with an auxiliary means.
