Abstract:
In this paper,a series of 2,5-diphenyl-1,3,4- oxadiazole cholesteryl dervatives were synthesized,the structures of these compounds were identified with 1H NMR,13C NMR and elemental analysis.Their liquid crystalline properties were investigated by polarizing optical microscopy (POM),differential scanning calorimetry (DSC).The results showed that compounds Ⅰ and Ⅱ without flexible links can self-assemble into SmA phases,however compound Ⅲ containing flexible link is not quid crystal.Doping experiments with 4'-butyl-4-biphenylcarbonitrile (5CB) proved that these compounds had chiral induction and chiral amplification effect.
