Abstract:
The present design code has a detailed formula for calculating the crack width of regular sections and unidirectional forces. For reinforced concrete members with special shape and various forms of force, the calculation of crack width is rather complicated and there is no corresponding formula. Whether the allowable stress method of the railway bridge or the limit state method of the highway bridge and the building structure, the calculation formula of the crack width is aimed at the unidirectional stress state. Based on the principle of concrete structure design, combined with the thought of finite subdivision, the numerical analysis method of stress calculation and crack width calculation for two-way eccentric reinforced concrete members is proposed. Several examples show that the proposed method has good engineering practicability.
