Abstract:
A new cationic iridium (Ⅲ) complex: Ir(mppy)
2(dtbbpy)PF
6 (mppy=2−(4−methylphenyl) pyridine, dtbbpy=4, 4′−ditert-butyl−2, 2′−bipyridine) was successfully synthesized with pyridine compound as cyclometalated ligand and 4, 4′−ditert-butyl−2, 2′−bipyridine as auxiliary ligands. Its structure was characterized by elemental analysis, NMR (
1H and
13C), MS and FT−IR, and the structure of single crystal was tested. Photophysical property of this complex and its thermal stability were investigated. The results show that the complexes were monoclinic crystal system and
P121/
c1 spatial group. A strong yellow-greenemission at 566 nm was observed in photoluminescence absorption spectra of the compound.
