Abstract: It is presented a location-independent multicast watermarking protocol based on mobile agents (MAMWP),which uses mobile agents to give every member a unique watermarked data copy.MAMWP can coordinate the performance of multicasting and the uniqueness of fingerprinting,provide traitor tracing or leaker identification.MAMWP does not depend on the security and computing performance of the intermediate entity,can be built on top of any existing multicast architecture,has good scalability and supports dynamic group membership.MAMWP can be selected as an optional component of secure multicast system if the traitor tracing or leaker identification is needed.
